Jack Levitt started very unexpectedly. A chance meeting of two guys, who just ended up in San Antonio. Bob had moved from Yorktown, TX and Lenny had been transferred from Ohio. Meeting through a mutual friend, they began hanging out and just discussing the possibility of starting a band. Meanwhile, Bob continued to play the bars and honkytonks as an acoustic act.
As the talking got tiresome, the two began to practice. Soon after Jack Levitt became a three-piece with the addition of a drummer, Jalapeno. Jalapeno, as he was named, proved to be an important addition to the Jack Levitt song writing process. The three spend numerous hours locked in the garage practicing and pissing off the neighbors.
